ESDA was present at the Third Ibero-American Forum on Research and Design (@iberoamericadisena), within the itinerary 1 dedicated to design research in Universities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This forum has been a meeting point for designers, teachers and students from all over Ibero-America, strengthening a common network that shares concerns, knowledge and the same vision: design as a tool to transform our environment. An authentic nexus that unites us beyond borders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Professors Cecilia Casas and In\u00e9s Marco, presented \"Design for Wellbeing: A Critical Review and Proposals for Improving its Practice\", in a paper that analyses how design directly influences people's quality of life and proposes new ways of working that integrate wellbeing, social sensitivity and a human approach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second paper, by professors Nereida Jim\u00e9nez and Pilar Sopena, shared \"Comparative design methodologies: towards sustainable, ethical and timeless design processes\", a comparison of existing methods and a reflection on how to rethink the creative processes of design. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

These contributions show the importance of research as a driver of knowledge within our school: to research is to open paths, to question, to innovate and to build a more conscious and meaningful design. We think it is important, because research is not just an academic exercise: it is designing the future. And at ESDA we do it for our students, who are the ones who will shape that future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
