Durante la segunda semana de Mayo de 2022 han tenido lugar, por primera vez, en la Escuela Superior de Diseño de Aragón los ESDA SOCIAL DESIGN DAYS.
Estos días se ha celebrado la recién estrenada incorporación a la red internacional DESIS, de laboratorios situados en escuelas de Diseño donde se practica la intervención e investigación en Diseño para la Innovación Social, fundada por Ezio Manzini.
Para ello la ESDA ha contado con tres profesores invitados de excepción:
Teresa Franqueira, Coordinadora Internacional de DESIS, de la Universidad de Aveiro en Portugal,
Adam Thorpe, de la Oficina de Diseño Contra el Crimen en la Central Saint Martins, de la Universidad de Arte de Londres y
Francesco Mazzarella, del Centro de Moda Sostenible del London College of Fashion, también perteneciente a la UAL.
Entre los eventos programados hubo una "revisita"a la Fashion Revolution con un taller de Upcycling por Dasein Hub y una charla por Cris B. También, una muestra en la que les presentaron los 7 proyectos más importantes desarrollados en la ESDA en Diseño Social y para la Innovación Social. Tras presentar el mapa colaborativo comunitario del último proyecto, “BUILDING BRIDGES ESDA-Gancho” se hizo una visita a algunos de los lugares a de este barrio, a cuyos vecinos la ESDA trata de acercar el Diseño para la Innovación Social.
También tuvimos tres interesantísimas conferencias a cargo de los tres profesores invitados, un workshop y una mesa redonda, en la que se recogieron las conclusiones de lo reflexionado y aprendido estos días. Gracias a todos los que lo habéis hecho posible.
During the second week in May, 2022, the Aragoneese Superior School of Design has hosted the ESDA SOCIAL DESIGN DAYS, for the first time.
It has been the perfect occasion to celebrate that ESDA has just turn to be a DESIS Network member. DESIS is an international network of laboratories situated in Universities and Schools of Design all around the world, founded by Ezio Manzini.
Luckily, we have had with us three exceptional invited teachers:
Teresa Franqueira, International Coordinator of DESIS, from University of Aveiro in Portugal,
Adam Thorpe, from the Design Against Crime Office at Central Saint Martins, University of Arts London (UAL) and
Francesco Mazzarella, from the Centre for Sustainable Fashion at the London College of Fashion, also UAL.
Those days, there was a showcase of the 7 more important projects of Social Design and Social Innovation developed at the ESDA. Then the students showed to our guests the collaborative communitarian map they made in collaboration with the quarter on the other side of the river, and we all went for a guided visit to the places were the project BUILDING BRIDGES ESDA-Gancho are taking place. This project aims to be our definite jump from Social Design to Design for Social Innovation.
As you can see in the video, we also had three exceptional talks delivered by our special guests, a workshop and a round-table, were we reflected on all the things learned these amazing days. Thank You. We will never forget you.
