QR ART WORKSHOP

The QR Art Laboratory in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture offers students and teachers of the Escuela Superior de Diseño de Aragón a free QR Art workshop to use the basic tools to create art with QR codes and to see how many doors can be opened both creatively and professionally, with each artist applying it in their own field of expression.

The workshop is tentatively scheduled for Friday 14 March in the afternoon (time to be determined) with a duration of two hours.

Those students and teachers who are interested in participating should register at the secretary's office until 28 February.

QR ART LAB PROJECT

The QR Art Lab, with a vision that combines art, technology and solidarity, aims to use the support of QR codes as a canvas on which to create avant-garde interactive artistic creations that help us to access content with a markedly social character. Through exhibitions, competitions, conferences, workshops, exhibitions, games, etc., we will explore the possibilities of this tool that allows us to link the real world with the Internet, or to transmit any type of information to an electronic device. The QR Art Lab is an event committed to our society, so we give special emphasis to the transmission of contents of a high social degree. The QR Art Lab has five objectives:

1. Artistic. It will encourage the creativity of artists, promoting QR codes as a canvas for the creation of their works, offering citizens an interactive product with a dual purpose: to enjoy the creativity of artists and to access web content of interest.

2. Industrial/labour. It will foster the demand for QR Art within the conventional industry, and with it the job opportunities for the group of artists who wish to specialise in this discipline.

3. Educational. It will encourage the training of art students through various activities arranged with educational centres.

4. Social. It will promote access to the websites of entities, groups and institutions that work in favour of social justice.

5. Experimental. It will promote research and experimentation of innovative applications, within the field of culture, for personalised QR codes, as well as their applications as a tool in favour of humanity.
