Poster competition

Published on 8 February 2016

FIRST. PARTICIPANTS.

All students enrolled at the Escuela Superior de Diseño de Aragón may enter the competition. The works can be personal or collective. Each participant may submit a maximum of three works.

SECOND. TECHNICAL CONDITIONS.

The works must have a format of 70×100 cm, and must be printed in high quality JPG format. The content of the poster must be original and of the artist's own creation. The works must clearly show the monographic theme, with the phrase "Small big screen" and the text "XXI La Almunia Film Festival. From 7 to 14 May 2016". In addition, the festival logo must also appear, in white if the background is coloured, and in corporate colour if it is on a white or light background. A space must be reserved where, once the collaboration and sponsorship agreements have been signed, the respective logos of the collaborating institutions or companies must appear, preferably in the lower band. Works that do not offer the necessary technical guarantees for a good elaboration of the Festival's dissemination material may be rejected.

THIRD. THEMATIC.

The main theme of the poster will be the monographic theme of the 2016 edition: "Small big screen", as the screenings, talks and round tables of the festival will be programmed around this monographic theme (the relationship between cinema and television), trying to analyse the close relationship between both formats in the audiovisual industry in Spain.

FOURTH. REGISTRATION.

Entries must be submitted to the School's secretary's office. The following must also be submitted in a sealed envelope affixed to the back of the poster: Name and surname(s) of the author(s) ID number Contact details: email and telephone number Title of the work: this is the only information that must appear on the outside of the envelope, on the CD and on the back of the poster. The deadline for submitting entries is 7 March at 14:00. The jury will meet on 8 March to reach a decision. The Festival organisers will acquire the rights to exhibit the works submitted.

FIFTH. JURY

A Jury will be created for this purpose, made up of three members of the Festival Management Committee and two members of the ESDA Faculty. This Jury will determine the final selection for the competition and will be chaired by the Festival Director. The prizes will be communicated to their authors, the winning poster remaining the property of the Festival Cine de La Almunia, which reserves all rights and use of the same, as well as publication rights. The work must be handed over to the Festival organisers in the format or formats required for the graphic work and use of the image in the different supports for the dissemination and promotion of the Festival. The rest of the works will be returned to the authors after the jury has issued its decision.

SIXTH. AWARDS.

The following prizes are established: Best Poster FESCILA 2016. 250 € + Diploma. 1 runner-up prize. Diploma of accreditation. Awarded by the jury. 2 runner-up prizes. Accreditation diplomas. Awarded by the Jury. The awards ceremony will take place during the opening gala of the Film Festival, which will be held on the evening of May 7th in La Almunia. The three winners will be invited to the dinner afterwards with the festival organisers, the 2016 Villa de La Almunia Award and other film and television personalities. All prizes are subject to the deductions determined by law. The prizes may be declared void if the jury so decides. The decisions of the Jury will be final.

SEVENTH. GENERAL RULES

The Festival reserves the right to organise an exhibition of the works presented during the Festival and the use of the winning entry in subsequent years, always referring to the 2016 edition. The winning entry will be used, in addition to the poster, as the cover of the festival catalogue and the festival programme. All contestants will be informed of the Jury's decision, the decision will be published on the Festival's website and a press release will be issued. All participants, by virtue of the fact that they are participants, accept these rules in their entirety, as well as the resolution by the Organisation of any problem not covered by these rules. Participation in the Festival Poster Competition implies acceptance of these rules. The organisers of the La Almunia Festival reserve the right to declare the prize void, if it is considered that the quality of the entries is poor or that the established requirements have not been met. Rules subject to modification due to circumstances beyond the organisation's control.
