Food Design in Product Design

During this academic year, the Product Design project subjects have started to work on a new design modality, the "Product Design". Food Design. As part of this work, the pupils have designed both savoury snacks and chocolates or chocolate bars in the different courses. These designs have a concept related to typical aspects of Aragon and local food.

On Friday 10th May, ESDA students and teachers were at IES Miralbueno to talk about the designs they had made, their initial ideas and what they wanted to transmit, and they also took some of the moulds they had created using ESDA tools. For their part, the teachers from IES Miralbueno spoke to us about the concept of Food Design and all its fields of application. They also showed us how they had made the creations of the ESDA students and gave us their opinion about them from a culinary point of view.

After all this we were able to see for ourselves what the ESDA students' creations tasted like.

It has been a collaboration that has left a very good taste in the mouth of both parties. A first contact that will be resumed next year from the beginning of the course with new proposals related to different applications of Food Design.
