The Municipal Shelter, the Escuela Superior de Diseño de Aragón and the Centro de Historias collaborate to rethink, from the point of view of design, the reception spaces.
The situation of homeless people in the neighbourhood has worsened in recent months. Faced with this scenario, the project Co-Design at the Hostel promotes a participatory process that brings together users of the Shelter, staff of the History Centre, ESDA students, design professionals and the neighbourhood to jointly imagine and develop improvements to the facility.
The process began on 3 October at the Escuela Superior de Diseño de Aragón with a day of presentation and collective reflection on the role of design in social transformation. The next session will be held on 24 October at 10:00 a.m.between the History Centre and the Municipal Shelterand will be open to public participation.

During this day, the teams will analyse the hostel spaces, identify their uses and propose interventions to help improve their functionality, accessibility and warmth. The project aims to redefine the uses of the Shelter after its expansion, promoting a human, inclusive and community approach. Those interested in participating can write to direccion@esda.es or come to the collective dynamics on the 24th.
