Thanks to an Erasmus grant and the support of the management team, last November 2023, Professor Cecilia Casas Romero attended the CUMULUS conference in Beijing, China on behalf of ESDA and ESDA DESIS Lab. She has presented a paper on Social Design Education and Empathy. And she has participated as a speaker in a Workshop together with other DESIS Labs on Care in different Cultures, together with Ezio Manzini, founder of DESIS and Teresa Franqueira, DESIS International Coordinator and member of the CUMULUS BOARD.
The visit and the networking open new expectations for the international projection of our school, both for the exchange between students and teachers from other universities, as well as for the presence of our school in future international conventions. Our ESDA DESIS lab has been proposed to represent DESIS in a new CUMULUS WORKING GROUP on "Design Education for Social Change: Working with vulnerable groups". To be continued.
