Conversations for the Planet: "Designers helping to make a better world".
In this "Conversation for the Planet", organised by the DESIS network, entitled "Designers Helping to make a Better World", Don Norman and Ezio Manzini discuss how designers can create meaningful change in the world. Presented by Ralitsa Diana Debrah and Teresa Franqueira, and moderated by Cecilia Casas Romero, the session looks at how these efforts can be scaled and how they open up new career paths and job opportunities for designers committed to social and environmental impact.
More than thirty years ago, in 1988, Don Norman wrote The design of everyday things, a landmark publication that became a worldwide success and positioned him as a leading voice in the international design community. Now, decades and several influential books later, Don returns with Design for a better worlda compelling call to action for designers to engage with the complex challenges facing our planet and our society.
