On 23 October, ESDA held a party in favour of inclusion, diversity and design as a means to generate bonds and raise awareness.
With the management and facilitators of the Apip Acam Foundation (with which we have been collaborating for two years now) and the presence of the protagonists: refugees and ESDA students, together with teachers, family and friends, the inauguration attracted more than 100 people to the ESDA hall.
Usmane Sar, gave us an impressive African Simb dance, celebrating the twinning between the Senegalese people, the lion and the jungle life of his homeland.
The results of the co-design arise from the interdisciplinary work on cultural identities through textile design, photography of Fashion Design and Graphic Design students in 4 different subjects together with the refugees. See Article
We, the teachers involved, would like to thank the enormous number of people who have contributed their efforts and enthusiasm to bring this project to fruition, which comes to light at a complicated time for such basic humanitarian issues as assistance to refugees and asylum seekers.
