METANOIA from the Greek Meta: beyond and Noia: of the mind, is defined as the process of transformation that changes someone's way of thinking, feeling, being or living... This Final Degree Project proposes the design of a men's collection, baptised with this name.
It consists of 12 looks presented under the discipline of performance. The aim of this work is to transmit an eternal freedom and to go beyond the boundaries set by society throughout the history of mankind. At the same time, this collection proposes a solution to the lack of evolution in men's fashion, dominated almost entirely by what we know as toxic masculinity.
Although the last two decades have seen a gradual evolution in this category of design, this project seeks to contribute to this change by altering the established codes of fashion. menswear.
This TFG is inspired by the witches' village known as Zugarramurdi. Location that was the protagonist of one of the worst social massacres in the history of our country, where because of misogyny, envy, dark desires and evil, many people were persecuted and murdered for being different from the rest of the population. In the designs of "Metanoia" you can see reflected the nature, the symbolism, the caves, the colours... and the great history that it holds.
