Interior Design students from ESDA transform oncology spaces at Miguel Servet Hospital
Students from the 2nd year of Interior Design at ESDA, together with the Miguel Servet University Hospital and the Believe in Art association, have developed proposals to renovate and humanise two key rooms in the oncology area: the waiting room for treatments and the room for family and friends of admitted patients.
During the process, the students have had the support of healthcare personnel, the Spanish Association Against Cancer and the NGO Believe in Art itself, who have shared their experiences and real needs in order to orientate the design towards more welcoming and functional spaces.
On 6 May, the projects were presented to hospital professionals and representatives of the collaborating organisations, with valuable contributions from all the profiles involved.
This initiative reinforces ESDA's commitment to social design and improving the hospital environment, showing how art and design can make a real difference to people's lives.
