The graphic designer is a creator whose activity has as its objective the use of graphic language to generate messages and communicate content of a diverse nature with different media and for different communication channels. The main areas where he develops his activity: corporate and visual identity, editorial design, graphic production, packaging design, art direction in advertising, audiovisual design, television graphics, multimedia design, interaction design, web design, environmental designer: graphics and communications applied to space, design of didactic material, research and teaching.

The subject of Computer Media II is understood as a fundamental and common subject within the different artistic and design disciplines. It is a continuation of Computer Media I. The aim is to introduce students to computer equipment, digital techniques, functions and technological requirements of the speciality, as well as the theoretical and practical foundations of vector and bitmap images, word processing and desktop publishing.

Design Management I is an introductory subject in the management processes associated with the profession of designer. It provides the theoretical and practical knowledge, as well as the techniques and tools necessary for understanding the social environment and the legal situation of the profession. In the same way, the course focuses on the contracting tools available to designers, the relationship of the professional with the different administrations and other basic design project management skills. Through the proposal of directed activities, students are introduced to the field of design research and its methodology, and to the writing of academic texts.

The eminently practical subject focuses on the realisation of projects where the aim is to develop professionalism and technical quality.
All exercises will simulate complex real projects, so the student will not only solve partial aspects, but will be confronted with the whole design process, from constraints to production.
Creativity and innovative solutions will be encouraged, but more consideration will be given to solutions that best fit the constraints and problems posed, together with appropriate adaptation to the means of production.
In the design process, there will always be an evaluation and verification of the decisions taken, so that no aspect is left unresolved.
All of this taking into account that the decisions and solutions are compatible and fully viable for production. To this end, special attention will be paid to the student's correct mastery of the technical and technological aspects.
The proposed exercises are subject to modification if the progress of the course so advises.
The intention is to work individually during the first four-month period, but not in the two projects of the second four-month period, as it is considered of interest that the students get used to working in a team, to listen to each other's assessments and to share out the roles.
The work may be coordinated with other subjects, and the latter may participate in the realisation of some aspects of the project. The eminently practical nature of the subject should allow and encourage students to apply the knowledge acquired in other subjects.
The defence of the work will be encouraged by means of public analysis and the production of reports.

Knowledge and control of the fundamental elements involved in the layout of a document: typographies, grids, images, margins, formats. Graphic and typographic decisions are made according to the type of document and the target audience.

Character design and animation is a growing field thanks to its applications in videogame design, creation of mascots, avatars, metaverse, etc.
The course is presented as a complete journey through organic modelling, the creation of textures and mapping, and an introduction to 3D animation. In this way, students will acquire a global vision of all the professional fields that are included in this emerging profession called "Character artist".

The course develops in an intensive way the crucial aspects of packaging design that have not been dealt with extensively before in the degree, namely materials and production processes.
