Interior Design

The interior designer is a professional capable of analysing, researching and planning, leading project teams and interior design work execution teamsas well as acting as a direct interlocutor with public administrations in the field of his profession. The main areas of activity are: housing and design of interior spaces for the habitat, design of commercial and leisure spaces, design of administrative spaces, design of cultural, educational and recreational spaces, design of ephemeral spaces, renovation of housing, landscaping and design of public spaces, business management of creative activities, design of the interior spaces of the different transport systems, management of works, measurements, budgets and risk prevention in the field of interior design, management of works in the field of interior design, research and teaching.

Theoretical-practical subject, with a significant theoretical load, aimed at studying and acquiring knowledge about the pathological process, the different types of injuries and the causes that produce them, in order to identify the origin of the process and provide a proposal for action and prevention for each specific case. The subject develops spatial design strategies in which the user acquires an exceptional protagonism due to his conditioning as a social subject that conditions the project process itself and makes it necessary to approach it taking into account other disciplines such as psychology, social sciences and artistic expression.

A subject that will attempt to complete the knowledge of the scope of construction techniques used in rehabilitation intervention; the importance of correct use and maintenance will be emphasised, making students aware of their importance in avoiding or delaying the appearance of pathological processes; from the general to the particular, both regulatory aspects and those related to documentary, architectural and symbolic values will be considered, without losing sight of the different parameters that condition this type of action: economic factors, time, habitability, safety, comfort, etc.

Construction IV includes the study of the construction systems and elements of carpentry and cladding of the interior of buildings, as well as their associated technology. The course is designed as a continuation of the Research, Development and Innovation II course, and works on the analysis and implementation of research processes applied to theoretical and practical work within the speciality, seeking innovative methodological processes. Creativity techniques are applied to approach project analysis and ideation, adopting new perspectives from which to reflect on current issues associated with projects (location, history, user, society, trends, etc.) and to generate new ideas from synthetic concepts. The course deals with the design of stage space as a transversal process for communicating with the spectator, opening up new ways of working with experimental stage design, delving into the evolution of the dramatic text and the use of the different signs that define contemporary stage design.

The course deals with the design of ephemeral installations and typologies, determined by the temporality of their duration, working on the communication strategy and design of the space. It studies new street marketing actions, new technologies, other complementary uses of the event and the relationship with the urban space.

This is a practical course in which students will learn in depth about the use of 3DS Max and VRay in an advanced way, in which through the use of various plugins they will reach the advanced visualisation of computer graphics at a professional level.
